About
Kylie Simpson is an acrobat for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Aerial silks, cyr wheel, hoop, lollipop lyra and dance trapeze. Kylie Simpson works all of them, and adds stilt walking when the job wants roving rather than a set piece. It's Sydney-based circus built for corporate events, festivals, galas and theatre, and it reads as strength and control rather than novelty. Shows can be staged or ambient, which changes the whole feel: one holds a crowd still, the other keeps a room humming while people move through it. Routines adapt to themes, brand activations and awkward venue shapes. Aerial work needs a certified rigging point and roughly three metres of clear height; ground shows need about four metres square. Rigging is installed and checked by accredited riggers.
Watch
The show
Kylie Simpson works the whole aerial range. Silks, the cyr wheel, hoop and lollipop lyra, plus stilt walking for the parts of the night that call for roving rather than a set piece. It's the kind of act that stops conversation. Routines are built around holding an audience and shifting the atmosphere in a room, which is a different job to simply performing well, and it's why the same skills read differently at a festival than they do at a gala dinner. Corporate events and brand activations get the same treatment.
On the day
Aerial work depends on the building. There needs to be an overhead rigging point certified for a live load of at least 1000kg, and a minimum of 3m clear height for her to work in. That's worth checking with your venue early, because it's the one thing that can rule a room out. Ground shows are far simpler: a flat area of 4m by 4m with nothing in the way. Full technical specifications are available if your venue's production team wants them.
