Hype Undercover Waiters Stunt Show is an acrobat for hire in Sydney, NSW.
A waiter drops a tray. Half the room winces. Then the music hits and the waiters start breakdancing. That's the premise of this Sydney stunt show, where performers start the night incognito working the floor before switching into synchronised dance, contemporary routines and acrobatics. The show is built to length: 10 minutes with three performers, 15 with four, 20 with five, and up to eight if the stage and audience warrant it. Routines can include fire, balancing on chairs and canes, calisthenics pole work, cheerleading stunts and lifts, quick-change costumes and audience participation. A custom music track is produced for every booking. They need a four by four performance area, a wireless mic, and smoke alarms isolated if fire is involved. All insurance provided.
Watch
The show
Waiters who turn out not to be waiters. Once the routine kicks in you get synchronised dance, breaking and contemporary work, acrobatics, and balancing on chairs and canes. There's calisthenics pole work in there, cheerleading stunts and lifts, and fire if you want it. Guests get pulled in too, so the room isn't just watching. Routines come out and go in depending on what suits your night.
On the day
One wireless microphone is needed, and it gets used for working the crowd rather than for singing. The performance area wants to be at least four metres square, though get in touch if your space is an awkward shape and we'll work out what's possible. And if you want fire in the show, the venue's smoke alarms need isolating first.
Performance options
Length follows the number of performers. Three performers gives you ten minutes, four gives you fifteen, five gives you twenty. It can go as far as eight performers, and routines get added or dropped to match the size of your stage and how many people are watching.
