About
Jadida is a world music band for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Oud, saxophone and vocals give Jadida's music its distinctive starting point. The Melbourne group blends Middle Eastern influences with other rhythmic traditions, supported by keys, bass and percussion. Performances can use a duo, trio, quartet or full band, and a belly dancer can join the presentation. Original material forms part of a repertoire that moves between quieter passages and dance music, with festival appearances and private or corporate functions among the group's work.
