About
Elvis To The Extreme is a tribute singer for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Marcus Jackson is a five-time award-winning Elvis tribute artist, recognised by Elvis Presley Enterprises. He won The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist, Australia's largest Elvis competition, and represented the country in Memphis. He's also taken out the Elvis Down Under championship in New Zealand twice, and won King Of The World in Memphis. Since then the bookings have run from private and corporate events through to the biggest Elvis festivals in the world. The show is high energy and close to the way Elvis actually performed, mannerisms and humour included, and Marcus works the room rather than staying on the stage. Shows run 30, 60 or 90 minutes. He has his own PA and lights if you need them, and can bring a band and showgirls. Melbourne based.
Watch
The show
Marcus doesn't stay behind the mic stand. He gets out among the tables, and a lot of the show is built on that: eye contact, a bit of banter, guests roped in whether they planned on it or not. The energy sits high and the detail is close to how Elvis actually worked a room, mannerisms and the dry humour included. It's a performance rather than an impression. So if you've booked him for a milestone birthday or a corporate night, expect the room to be involved rather than politely watching from their seats.
On the day
If your venue has nothing of its own, that's covered. Marcus can bring his own PA and lighting rig, which saves you hiring a system in or leaning on a room that only has a ceiling speaker. Worth flagging when you enquire, because it changes what he needs to load in and how much time he wants beforehand. Venues that already have sound and lights sorted, he'll simply use what's there.
Performance options
Three show lengths to choose from: 30 minutes, an hour, or 90 minutes. The short one suits a slot inside a bigger night, the 90 goes the distance where Elvis is the main event. Beyond the solo show he can bring a live band, and showgirls as well, which turns it into a proper Vegas style production instead of one performer and a track. Tell him the room, the crowd and how long you want the floor busy, and he'll say which of those fits.
