About
Alia Milano is a tribute show for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Alia Milano performs as Marilyn, and she sings it live rather than miming to a backing track. The look is the full thing: the white Seventh Itch dress, or the pink Diamonds gown with the diamonds and fur. Songs come from the Monroe catalogue, so Diamonds, Fever, My Heart Belongs to Daddy, I Wanna Be Loved by You, River of No Return, and the Happy Birthday, Mr President moment if that's what the occasion needs. Alia has appeared on television and at red carpet events, was a Miss Universe finalist and a Deal or No Deal model, and has recorded with Kylie Minogue's producers. She needs a PA and mic, or she can bring her own, plus a room to change in. Indoor events.

The show
She sings it. That's the first thing to know, because plenty of tribute work is mimed and this isn't. Alia performs as Marilyn in full costume, either the white Seventh Itch dress or the pink Diamonds gown with the diamonds and the fur, and the songs come out live. It's a proper turn rather than a photo opportunity that moves, though guests will absolutely want photos.
On the day
A PA and a microphone, and if the venue hasn't got them Alia can supply her own. She'll also need a green room or a decent change room, somewhere private to get into costume. One thing worth planning around: this is an indoor act, so an outdoor space won't suit.
Performance options
Short and sharp at one end, a full show at the other. There's a Happy Birthday, Mr President spot that runs about fifteen minutes. There's a tribute show of roughly the same length with photo time added after it, so guests get their turn with Marilyn. And at the top end, two 45 minute sets performed with a pianist, which is the version that carries a whole evening rather than punctuating one.
