Velvet Strings is a string quartet for hire in Sydney, NSW.
There's nothing experimental about Velvet Strings, and that's rather the point. Classical favourites are the backbone, with popular songs, Top 40 and jazz arrangements available, and if the song you want isn't already in the book it can be arranged for you. The line up moves with the event: string quartet or trio, classical quartet or trio with flute added, solo violin, a string duo, or as large as a double quartet or mini orchestra. The players work together regularly, and that shows in how tidy the performance is. Sydney based, for weddings, cocktail parties and corporate events.

It was certainly a stunningly beautiful day for a wedding. I believe the Trio acquitted themselves well (I arrived later) and were done by midday.

I huge thank you to Wendy and Tracy for providing a magnificent performance at my wife's 50th birthday. Our guests were over whelmed by how well they preformed and how delightful it was to hear them. A big thankyou from myself for making this day all that much better.

Thank you once again for organising the performer for us. As you can imagine, there are a lot of facets of an event such as this that need to be managed carefully, and Paul’s professionalism meant that the entertainment was one less thing I needed to be concerned about. Paul was on time, appropriately dressed, and already had a suitable selection of music set out for me. He was easy to get along with, and nothing was a problem for him. As I said, he was invaluable! The guests all commented on his talent, and from my point of view, his ability to adapt to the changing acoustics within the venue when the crowd started to dwindle was wonderful. Please pass our thanks onto Paul, we will definitely seek him out should another event such as this pop up!
