About
Liam Bowditch is a singer-songwriter for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Wales-born and Australia-raised, Liam Bowditch is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer working out of Melbourne. He takes songwriting seriously, and it shows in how he treats other people's songs as much as his own. The list covers the wedding standards, "Can't Help Falling In Love", "A Thousand Years", "Thinking Out Loud", alongside Fleetwood Mac, Jack Johnson, Harry Styles and plenty more. He brings everything: PA, instruments, microphones, lighting, and a live looping setup. Send him a run sheet and he'll work to it, and he'll take up to three requests from outside the list. He arrives about an hour ahead to set up.
The show
Liam Bowditch turns up around an hour ahead and brings everything: PA, instruments, microphones, electronics, lighting. Send him a run sheet and he'll work to it, so the ceremony music, the speeches and the rest of the night land where you wanted them. Songs can be played live or cued from the original recording, whichever suits the moment. And if you've got favourites outside his list, he'll take up to three of them and learn them properly. Ask him anything in the lead-up. He'd rather field the questions early than guess on the day.
On the day
Power within ten metres of where he's set up is what the full rig needs, live looping included. Without mains he can still play, using battery speakers, but that cuts him back to acoustic guitar and voice with no looping. So if the spot has no socket, decide which version you want before the day. Cover and shade over the performance area is appreciated where you can manage it.
