About
Bella Deer is a singer-songwriter for hire in Geelong, VIC.
Bella Deer writes indie-pop-tinged alternative music with a darker edge, and her sophomore single Care Too Much made the finals of the 2021 APRA AMCOS Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition. The vocal draws Florence Welch comparisons, which is fair enough. Based between Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Bellarine, she performs a full hour of originals either solo at the keys or with a four piece of keys, guitar, bass, drums and vocals. Covers are on the table too when the event calls for them: The Horses, Ho Hey, Mess Is Mine, Fade Into You, You've Got The Love. Support slots and festivals suit. She'll need a PA, mixer and engineer. Performance insurance held.

The show
Bella Deer's live reputation has been built on the voice more than anything else. Happy Mag put her range alongside Adele and Weyes Blood and called her an artist stepping confidently into the spotlight. The AU Review described the voice as pure and powerful with an impressive range, and The Partae picked up the same thing writing about Bloom, calling out her boldness as both a writer and a performer. Expect an hour that leans on that: original songs, sung properly, either alone at the keys or with the full four piece behind her.
Performance options
There's no set menu of packages. Bella works from what you tell her, so the more you can spell out about the event, the closer the answer comes back. Where it is, how long you want her playing, solo at the keys or the full four piece, what sort of crowd is in the room. Put all of that in the enquiry and a quote follows.
