About
TDC Music Studio is a saxophone player for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Live saxophone over whatever your DJ is already playing. That's the core of what Taylor De Col does, and after twenty years on the instrument it happens on the spot, no rehearsal, no set arrangement to stick to. A wireless mic means roaming the floor rather than standing at the front, and the only technical ask is a line into the DJ's system. Book the sax on its own and a small PA comes along, which suits a modest room rather than a hall. Weddings are the regular gig, including first dances learned to order. The 2025 ABIA wedding awards named this act runner up for best wedding instrumentalist in NSW. Insured.
Watch
The show
Live saxophone played to lift the energy in the room, not to sit politely in a corner. Taylor De Col has played the ABIA Wedding Awards themselves, a night with more than 300 wedding industry professionals in the room, and the managing director of ABIA Weddings Australia singled out how readily he worked alongside the other musicians on the bill and moved between very different songs as the night asked for them. That flexibility is the thing to expect: a sax line that follows what's happening on the floor rather than a fixed routine.
On the day
A wireless mic means Taylor plays from wherever the energy is, out on the dance floor and among the tables rather than parked at the front. The only technical requirement is plugging that mic into your DJ's system, and most DJ rigs already handle this without any extra hardware. If you're booking solo sax with no DJ, a small PA comes along, though it's sized for a small to medium room rather than a hall.
Performance options
The most common booking is sax alongside a DJ you've already got, playing live over what they're spinning. Others are built around single moments: the wedding entrance, the first dance, or a proposal, with any song learned and performed live. Solo sax covers a party, a function or the canapes hour, with a playlist put together in whatever style you like and a small PA supplied for small to medium rooms. Any of these combine, so one booking could cover canapes, the entrance, the first dance and the DJ set. Something else entirely can be worked out. Sydney based, with travel available.
