About
Sax Team is a saxophone player for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Sax Team play saxophone and clarinet, and the range of music they cover is unusually wide for one act. Electro and party dance sets sit alongside Italian, Greek and Turkish material played on klarino, plus Middle Eastern music, jazz, funk and pop. Weddings are structured properly: a performance while guests arrive for drinks and canapes, the grand entrance, dinner music, the bridal waltz, then a party set alongside the DJ later in the night. Nothing needed from the venue by way of setup. Sydney based, and a good option when the guest list spans a few cultures and everyone should hear something they recognise.
Watch
The show
Saxophone and clarinet, played live, and sized to the occasion. A small ceremony and a big reception don't get the same show, so the date, the venue and the number of people in the room shape how the performance is put together. The music is chosen to do something to a room, not sit in the corner of it, and that's the part guests talk about long after the food.
Performance options
The wedding booking is broken into the moments that need music. A performance during drinks and canapes while guests arrive. A sax feature for the couple's grand entrance into the reception. Music through the main meals. Playing over the first dance for the bridal waltz. Then a party set later in the night, performing alongside the DJ for a couple of tracks.
