About
Blackcreek is a rock band for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Brisbane four piece, old school sound, rhythm and blues running underneath the rock. Blackcreek pull from The Cult, The Black Crowes, ZZ Top and Aerosmith, but the song list also digs out things you rarely hear a covers band attempt, Freddie King's Going Down, Lance Lopez, Eric Gales, Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Their own material sits alongside it: All Alone Now, Black Creek Way, Emotional Bleed. Every show comes with full production. They need a 240V outlet for band, sound and lights, and a dry, stable stage area. Liability insurance provided.
Watch
The show
A high energy rock show built on the classics, ranging from Albert King at one end through to ZZ Top at the other. Blackcreek keep the rhythm and blues underneath it rather than playing straight rock, which gives the set a bit more grit than most covers nights. Full production comes with every show. If your crowd wants to hear guitar played properly, this is the sort of night they're after.
On the day
A 240V outlet is needed to run the band, the sound and the lighting. Beyond that, the stage area has to be dry and stable. Both matter more than they sound: gear on an uneven or damp surface is the quickest way to shorten a set. Flag it early if your space is outdoors or the surface is soft.
