About
Nick Marcus is an R&B singer for hire in Sutherland, NSW.
Electric guitar, vocals and a loop pedal, which is how one person in Sutherland covers ground that usually takes a band. Nick has ten years of live work behind him and the repertoire leans R and B and pop: The Weeknd, Daniel Caesar, Khalid, Craig David, Bill Withers, Beyonce, Ruel and Vance Joy, with Elvis and Sinatra there for the older end of the room. Background music early, party hits later. He takes requests but reads the crowd first. For weddings he can also run DJ services, so the music doesn't stop when the live set does, and duo and MC options exist too. Power is preferred rather than essential, and some cover helps if you're outdoors. Working With Children Check held.

The show
Electric guitar, a loop pedal and a voice, and between them one person covers ground that usually needs a band. The repertoire leans R and B and pop, The Weeknd and Daniel Caesar through to Vance Joy, with Elvis and Sinatra kept back for the older half of the room. Early on it sits behind the conversation as background. Later it turns into party music. He takes requests, but he reads the crowd first, which is the right order to do it in.
On the day
Power is recommended rather than required, so an outdoor spot without an outlet is still workable. If your event is outside, some form of shelter over the gear helps, again more a recommendation than a rule. Say what the space looks like when you enquire and he'll tell you if anything else is worth arranging.
Performance options
He works as a solo artist, and that's the core of it. A duo version is available if you want a second voice or instrument in the mix. He'll also take the MC role, and for weddings he runs DJ services, so the music keeps going after the live set finishes instead of stopping dead.
