About
KB is a solo pianist and singer for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
A baritone with a falsetto sitting on top of it, which is a handy combination for modern male ballads. KB is a Melbourne singer and pianist working through blues, soul, R&B and pop covers: All of Me, Adorn, Ain't No Sunshine, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Get Lucky, Africa. The rig is a complete portable piano setup with a good PA, so ceremonies, canape hours, corporate rooms and lounge sets are all covered without a venue needing to supply anything. All that's needed is a power point somewhere in reach, and even then the extension leads come along too.
The show
The voice is the draw. KB is a baritone with a genuine falsetto sitting above it, and that pairing is exactly what modern male-led ballads need. The set list works through blues, soul, R&B and pop covers, so a room can move from something quiet to something with a bit of lift without it feeling like the act changed.
On the day
A power point somewhere within reach, and that's the whole ask. KB brings his own extension leads, so reasonably close counts as close enough. He supplies a top of the range PA himself, meaning the venue doesn't need to have any sound gear of its own.
