About
Lip Service is a musical duo for hire in Canberra, ACT.
One guitar, three voices, no backing tracks. That's the whole idea behind Lip Service, a Canberra group whose arrangements rework the classics and put an unexpected twist on current hits. Rolling in the Deep, Valerie, Reckless, When the War Is Over, Steal My Kisses, No Diggity, The Scientist. Vocal harmony is the thing they lead with, and it's what sets them apart from a straight covers duo. They'll take requests before your event and do their best with anything shouted at them on the night. Self sufficient on setup, with PA and lights included.

The show
Attention to detail starts well before the day. Lip Service will take song requests in the lead-up and work them into the set, and they'll do their best with whatever gets called out on the night too. On stage it's one guitar and three voices with no backing tracks, which means the harmonies are being sung live in front of you. That's the part people notice, and it's why the arrangements don't sound like everybody else's.
On the day
Self sufficient from load-in to pack-down. PA and lights both come with the booking, so the venue doesn't need a rig and you aren't organising a separate sound supplier. They set themselves up and get on with it.
