About
Mel is a motivational speaker for hire in Perth, WA.
Inclusion without the box-ticking. Mel is a Perth teacher and speaker whose sessions on diversity, resilience and wellbeing come from lived experience, and it shows: candid, practical, funny in the right places. She contributed a chapter to the best-selling book Try and Stop Her, writing on advocacy, resilience and why speaking up matters, and the same convictions drive her work on stage. Sessions scale from a 30 minute lunchtime talk through keynotes to half and full day workshops, and she's as comfortable in front of high school students as executives. You'll leave with usable tools, not slogans.

The show
Straight talk, mostly. Mel's sessions on inclusion come from things she's actually lived through rather than a training manual, and the honesty is the point of them. Expect to be made to think, expect to laugh somewhere in the middle, and expect to leave with something you can use on Monday rather than a set of slogans. It lands with high school students and with executives, which is unusual, and it's because the material doesn't get watered down for either.
Performance options
Four lengths, depending on how much of the calendar you can give it. Lunchtime Learning runs 30 minutes and fits inside a break. A keynote sits at 45 to 60 minutes for a conference or an all-staff session. The half day workshop runs four hours. And the full day version runs six to eight hours, which is where the material goes deepest and people have time to work through it properly rather than just hear it.
