About
Ascending Through Adversity is a motivational speaker for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Steve Bell spent his working life guiding climbers on mountains, Everest included, and Ascending Through Adversity is what he brought back down. The talk is built on true stories of avalanches, killer storms and near-fatal falls, and what they teach about handling change and uncertainty when it arrives uninvited. It's entertaining rather than grim. So audiences laugh, then find themselves taking notes. He usually presents with PowerPoint but can speak without visuals, prefers a lapel microphone so he can move around the stage, and holds professional indemnity insurance and a working with children permit.

The show
Steve Bell guided climbers on mountains for a living, Everest among them, and the talk is built from what happened up there. Avalanches, storms that turned killer, falls that nearly ended it. The material is about handling change and uncertainty when it turns up without warning, and it's told as story rather than lecture, so people laugh their way in before they start taking notes. Tell him your audience, the theme, the date and how long you need, and you'll get a straight answer on whether it fits.
On the day
PowerPoint is the usual format, so a screen and a way to connect to it covers most of it. That said, he can deliver the talk with no visuals at all if your room or your programme suits that better. A lapel microphone is the preference, since he moves around the stage while he speaks and a fixed stand would tie him to one spot.
