Stu Gray works the room at private functions, home gatherings, weddings and corporate events, moving group to group so no table gets skipped. Cards appear, vanish and change in the guests' own hands, which is a different sort of surprise to watching it happen across a room. It breaks the ice quickly, and at corporate events it gives people something to talk about while they're still working out who everyone is. The show
Card magic at arm's length, not from a stage. The tricks happen in the guests' own hands: a card vanishes between their fingers, or changes into the one they were only thinking about. Stu roams between tables and groups so nobody misses out, which is why it works so well early on when half the room hasn't met yet. At a corporate dinner it gives strangers something to talk about. At a house party it becomes the thing people bring up weeks later.
On the day
Next to nothing, which is the quiet advantage of close-up work. There's no stage to build, no lighting to rig and no gear to unload, because the whole act travels in his pockets. That means he can start performing not long after walking through the door, and move around a cocktail hour or a sit-down dinner without interrupting anything.
