Sean Piper

Sean Piper works the room rather than a stage, with close-up magic happening in guests' own hands, two to eight people at a time. No stage, no microphone, nothing that interrupts the flow of your event, so quiet corners turn into the loudest part of the night while dinner service carries on around it. Before the day you'll be asked about your guests, the schedule and the dress code, so the material fits the room instead of being repeated from the last booking. He holds public liability cover and a Blue Card, which is why he's a regular at Queensland venues and at family events.

Close-up roving magic needs nothing at all: no stage, no PA, no technical setup. He's self contained in a single compact case, and all he needs is access to the room and your guests. For larger shows where eighty or more people are watching one performance, a simple stage riser is useful if you have one, plus basic front lighting. Full technical notes come through once the booking is confirmed. There's no freight, no loading dock and no rigging to organise, which venue coordinators appreciate.

Three formats. The close-up experience runs two hours of roving magic and suits corporate dinners, galas, award nights and product launches, working comfortably in rooms from eighty up to three hundred guests. The cocktail session is one focused hour of walkaround magic for receptions and standing events, roughly twenty to a hundred and fifty guests, and it does the job of getting strangers talking to each other. The private celebration option is fully tailored for milestone birthdays, private parties and weddings, sized for twenty to a hundred. Every one of them includes the pre-event consultation and travel across greater Brisbane.
