About
Mark Mayer is a magician for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
The trick happens in your hand, not across a stage. Mark Mayer is a Melbourne magician and mentalist with more than 20 years behind him, thousands of live shows from London to Las Vegas, television and radio appearances, his own one man shows, and a stack of press. He works roving through a crowd or up on stage, and shifts the act to suit the room, so a product launch gets something different to a wedding reception. Sleight of hand is the backbone, comedy is the delivery. Corporate nights, private parties, galas and weddings all sit comfortably in his range.

The show
The magic lands in your guests' hands, not on a stage twenty feet away. Somebody holds a coin, or a card, or their own ring, and the impossible bit happens while they're looking straight at it. That's the whole design of it. Mark works close, one small group at a time, and the reaction moves through a room ahead of him as people tell each other what they just saw. It suits any kind of occasion because the act comes to the guests wherever they happen to be standing.
