About
Amazing Mr Twist is a magician for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
A talking puppet parrot and real live doves share the bill in this one. Mr Twist has been doing comedy magic for more than 20 years, mixing sleight of hand, slapstick ventriloquism and illusions into a show that works for kids and adults in the same room. The standard format is a 45 minute show, often followed by roving close up magic or balloon twisting. He brings a PA that covers most events, adapts to indoors or out, and has played everything from backyard birthdays to corporate functions and schools, in Australia and overseas. Public liability insurance and a Working with Children Check held.
Watch
The show
Funny magic done properly, and it works on kids and adults in the same room, which is the hard part. Alongside the show there's roving close-up magic and balloon twisting, so there's something happening while people mill about.
On the day
Allow 15 to 30 minutes for setup. He brings a PA that handles most events, though for a very large event the client should supply the sound. A stage is nice but not necessary, since he adapts to most conditions. Indoors is preferable, especially in heat, rain or wind, but outdoors is fine if that's what you've got.
Performance options
Three options. A 45-minute magic show on its own. The magic show followed by balloon twisting. Or roving close-up magic through the event.
