About
Braydon J. Taylor is a magician for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Fifteen minutes to set up, fifteen to pack down, and no fuss in between. Braydon J. Taylor is a Melbourne magician who works two ways: roving close-up magic among your guests, or a stage show needing only a four square metre space, a table and a small sound system. Birthdays, weddings and corporate events all get the same personable treatment; the aim is to feel like part of your event rather than a stranger doing an hour and leaving. For outdoor shows it's worth having an indoor backup in case of heat, wind or storms. Public liability insurance, with the certificate available on request.
Watch
The show
Booking him is quick. Have your details ready and you can be quoted and confirmed inside the hour. On the day he arrives, says hello at the door, and you point him at wherever he's meant to be, a green room to drop his case or a stage to set up on. Fifteen minutes later he's ready, and when it's done he's packed and gone in about the same. The rest of it is the manner, which he takes seriously. He'd rather build something that feels personal to your event than turn up, do an hour of magic and leave like a stranger. Most people find it feels like they've known him a while.
On the day
For roving, a private room to store props and equipment, lockable if you have one. He aims to arrive at least 15 minutes before start time. For stage shows, a minimum of four square metres, and it can be a stage, a dance floor or just clear floor, with room for a table, a small sound system if you don't already have one, and a case on the ground beside him. One thing worth planning for: if the stage show is outdoors and the weather turns unsuitable, over 35 degrees, strong wind or thunderstorms, please have an indoor space ready as a backup.
