About

Josh Staley: Conjuror is a magician for hire in Melbourne, VIC.

Josh Staley placed in the top twelve globally for close-up magic at the World Championships of Magic, is the current Australian Champion of Magic and holds a Guinness World Record. That pedigree turns up as sleight of hand you cannot follow, wrapped in comedy that keeps a room laughing between the moments they can't explain. Two formats. Mingling magic puts the tricks in your guests' own hands as Josh works through the crowd, no stage or sound gear needed. Or the interactive show, which brings the whole group in at once, close-up illusions through to mentalism. Corporate events, weddings and celebrations. Melbourne based. Working With Children Check, NDIS screening, police check and public liability insurance.

The show

Sleight of hand you genuinely can't follow, and comedy in between so the room's laughing as much as it's baffled. Josh Staley placed in the top twelve globally for close-up magic at the World Championships of Magic, holds the Australian Champion of Magic title and a Guinness World Record, and the tricks are pitched at that level. It works at a small private party and it works at a gala. Card work, mentalism, close-up illusions happening in your guests' hands rather than on a distant stage.

On the day

Barely anything, and often nothing at all. The mingling format in particular needs no stage and no sound gear. Josh sorts the specifics with you once the venue and format are settled.

Performance options

Two formats, and you can have both. Mingling magic sends Josh through the crowd doing close-up work in your guests' own hands, which is a good ice-breaker early on and needs no stage or sound system. The show gathers everyone at once, running through illusions, mind reading and audience interaction with the comedy holding it together. Put them in that order and the entertainment covers the whole night, up close first, then the room together.
