About
Josh Norbido is a magician for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Hollywood rings Josh Norbido when the sleight of hand has to look real. He was the magic consultant on Russell Crowe's Poker Face and worked with Cate Blanchett on Ocean's 8. Closer to home he reached the semi-finals of Australia's Got Talent in 2019, where Nicole Scherzinger gave him the nickname Hot Magic Josh, and Manu Feildel called what he does impossible. Clients since have included Google and Formula 1 Singapore. The act is quick-witted and funny as much as it's baffling, working close-up while roving or up on stage. Corporate functions, weddings, festivals and parties. Based in Brisbane.

The show
Sharp comedy first, then the trick lands and the table goes quiet. Josh Norbido works that way all night, and the timing is as much of the act as the illusions are. He can rove between tables doing close-up work, where the magic happens in somebody's own hands, or take a stage and run it for the whole room. Guests tend to spend the rest of the evening arguing about how one particular thing was done, which is the general idea.
