About
Hilarious Kids/Adults Magician - Magic Mike is a magician for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
The bunny is real, and the kids get fifteen minutes to pat it and another fifteen to help feed it after the thirty minute stage show. Magic Mike has been working children's parties and childcare centres around Brisbane and the Gold Coast for 25 years, and his kids show has been recognised as the best in the childcare industry across both cities. The full package runs up to an hour, with something happening every ten or twenty seconds so nobody drifts off. Adults get a different act: close-up roving comedy magic for corporate functions and private parties. All he needs is a 3m by 3m space, indoors or out, with shade if it's outside.
Watch
The show
Something happens every ten or twenty seconds, which is exactly how long a small child's attention lasts. Magic Mike knows this, and the show is built around it, so there's no gap where the room starts wandering off. Reactions come constantly, from the kids and usually from the adults standing at the back too. For grown-up crowds it's a different act altogether: close-up comedy magic worked through the room rather than a stage show.
On the day
A space around three metres square, and that's the requirement. It can be inside or outside, so a lounge room, a hall or a backyard all work. The one condition on an outdoor booking is shade, which matters for the kids sitting on the grass as much as for the performance. Point him at the spot and he'll take it from there.
