The show

On the day
Walk on, walk off. There's no setup time to allow for, and when the show finishes everything goes straight back into the case so your stage is clear for whoever is on next. That makes him easy to slot into a tight run sheet. For a stage show Dave needs a hand-held radio microphone, and your MC's microphone will usually do the job, so there's rarely anything extra to hire. For close-up work in a restaurant or among a crowd, not even that.
