About
Baenedict is a magician for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Baenedict has published in Genii Magazine, the largest magic magazine in the world, and invented illusions that other magicians now perform. His debut Fringe show, Suspension of Disbelief, sold out multiple Adelaide dates in 2020 and earned a nomination for the Emerging Artist Award. The roving work moves group to group with cards, coins, rings and whatever's borrowed from the room, mixing sleight of hand with mind reading and psychological games, and it needs no stage and no set up. Stage shows take five to ten minutes to set, sometimes a table and chair. He holds public liability insurance and a Working With Children Check, and travels around Australia for private and corporate events.
Watch
On the day
Roving magic needs nothing at all. Baenedict walks in, starts working the room, and there's no stage, no sound and no set up to schedule around. Stage shows are almost as easy: five to ten minutes to get ready, and depending on which show you've booked, a table and a chair.
Performance options
Close-up roving magic moves group to group while guests are standing and drinking, which means a big room gets entertained without anyone building a stage. It works with borrowed objects, cards, coins and rings, mixed with mind reading and psychological games, and the best moments happen in a guest's own hands. Then there are the shows, sized to the audience. Baenedict does everything from a fifteen-minute feature spot to a full two-part theatrical act running two hours, and it fits an auditorium or a living room. The longer show leans on storytelling as much as sleight of hand.
