About
Laura is a keynote speaker for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Laura talks about elite sport and what it cost her, which turns out to be the more useful half of the story. Her presentation runs 45 minutes with questions afterwards, built from her own experience of adversity and success and the skills she pulled out of both. Resilience, work ethic, motivation. Those words get used loosely by a lot of speakers, but she has the career behind them. What holds a room is the way she tells it, direct and genuinely passionate, and she reshapes the talk for each audience rather than repeating a fixed script. Melbourne based. Works as a keynote speaker, an after dinner speaker and an MC, and takes bookings for corporate events, conferences and schools. Bring a screen, she presents with visuals.
The show
A 45 minute presentation, then questions. Laura tells it as her own story, walking through the adversity and the success and pulling out the skills each one taught her, then showing how those skills transfer into anyone's working and personal life. Resilience, motivation and a serious work ethic sit underneath it. What holds the room, though, is how she tells it: hungry, passionate, and entirely herself. She reworks the talk for each audience rather than delivering the same thing twice.
On the day
Her talk is normally supported by a visual presentation, so the room needs a screen and something to drive it from. Check that early with your venue, since a function space set up for dinner does not always have a projector or a clear sightline to one. Beyond the screen there is nothing unusual to organise.
