About
Dizzy is a hypnotist for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Comedy hypnosis, roughly an hour of it, with the whole room in on the thing rather than a handful of volunteers up front. Dizzy has been doing this for more than a decade around Australia and further afield, and the show sits in the space between laughing at what's happening and not quite believing it. Audio equipment is included in the price. The performance area wants to be about 3 by 5 metres, ideally carpeted, with a stage for bigger crowds and up to ten armless chairs. Covered by public liability, certificate available.
Watch
The show
Give or take, you're getting an hour of it. Dizzy Comedy Hypnotist works the whole room rather than picking off a few brave volunteers and leaving everyone else to watch, so your guests are part of the show whether they end up on their feet or not. It lands somewhere between comedy and something harder to explain, and that mix is the reason people talk about it afterwards. Audio gear comes as part of the booking, so the sound side is already sorted before you start asking your venue questions.
On the day
Set aside roughly 3 metres by 5 for the performance area. Carpet is better than a hard floor if you have the choice. Once the crowd gets past a certain size, a stage helps, because people at the back need to see what's happening rather than guess at it. You'll also want up to ten chairs without arms, or however many the space will take.
