Guitarist Hire Central Coast - Heavy Duty

About

Heavy Duty is a guitarist for hire in Central Coast, NSW.

Wayne Gardner plays classic rock guitar, alone, and makes it sound like considerably more than one person. Heavy Duty is built on high quality backing tracks with the guitar work live over the top, plus full PA and lights, so a small venue gets a full band sound without the full band footprint. The song list is deep and unapologetically loud: Back In Black, Ace Of Spades, All Along The Watchtower, Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love, Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, Astronomy, April Sun In Cuba. Four decades of gigs sit behind it, playing East Coast venues with Lionheart, Avion, Stranger, Fallon and Terry Halliday, including the Capitol Theatre and the Hordern Pavilion. Based on the Central Coast.

Watch

The show

One guitarist, and a sound that fills a room like a full band. Wayne Gardner plays live over high quality backing tracks, so the low end and the drums are there while the guitar work happens in front of you. The material is hard rock, rock and blues rock: Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Angels, Van Halen, ZZ Top, Status Quo, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, plenty more from the 60s through the 90s. Four decades of gigs sit behind it, and it shows in how little he has to work to hold a crowd.

On the day

Nothing to organise, which is the advantage of booking one person who brings everything. Wayne arrives with a full PA and a lighting rig, plus the backing tracks that carry the rest of the band's parts. So a venue with no stage gear and no house system still gets a proper rock show, and a small room gets it without losing half the floor to equipment.
