About
Greg on Guitar is a guitarist for hire in Toowoomba, QLD.
The name is the promise. Greg on Guitar plays the songs a Toowoomba crowd already knows the words to, weighted heavily towards Australian and New Zealand artists: Australian Crawl, Cold Chisel, Crowded House, Dragon, plus The Eagles, CCR and Brooks and Dunn. His list runs long, from April Sun in Cuba and Cheap Wine to American Pie and Brown Eyed Girl. Years of playing venues and events across Australia and New Zealand sit behind it. He works as a one man band and needs only a small stage or corner with power nearby. Public liability insurance is held.
The show
The songs lean hard towards this side of the Tasman. Australian Crawl, Cold Chisel, Crowded House and Dragon do most of the heavy lifting, with The Eagles, CCR and Brooks and Dunn filling out the rest. It's a list built for a Toowoomba room where people already know the words, which is the whole point of booking him. April Sun in Cuba, Cheap Wine, American Pie, Brown Eyed Girl - that territory, and a lot more of it.
On the day
One man, so the footprint is small. A corner of the room or a small stage does it, as long as there's power within reach. No need to clear out half the venue.
