Keith Gall takes a room from Botany Bay to the Diamantina, from Gallipoli to the Snowy River, through the songs this country actually knows, then swings into the Aussie and international pub covers of the seventies and eighties. A hundred songs in the book, covering traditional ballads, easy listening, oldies, country and blues. It's a one man band setup and he brings all his own gear. An award winning musician working out of Gympie, with face painting by Daisy available alongside if the event calls for it. Toe tapping is more or less compulsory.
The show
One bloke, a pile of gear, and a room full of tunes people already know the chorus to. Keith Gall plays it as a one man band, which means the sound is fuller than a single performer usually manages. The songs are chosen to be sung back at him rather than listened to politely, so expect the tables to join in somewhere around the second one.
