About
Moony Gypsy is a fire performer for hire in Perth, WA.
Fire, day flow and LED props, with a large kit to choose from. Moony Gypsy performs across Perth as a fire show, roving entertainment, a podium dancer, or a workshop leader for kids and adults, and she's multiprop trained rather than a one-trick spinner. Costumes are part of the act, not an afterthought. Safety runs through everything: a fire safety assistant comes to every show, and if a total fire ban lands during summer, the LED show takes over instead. Fire acts need a 4 x 3 metre space with 2 metres of overhead clearance, 15 minutes to set up, and darkness. LED acts are more flexible and set up in 10.
Watch
The show
Fire, LED or day flow, depending on the hour and the setting. Moony Gypsy is multiprop trained, so a show isn't one prop repeated, and the costumes are chosen to suit the event rather than pulled out of a bag. She works weddings, corporate nights, festivals and podium spots. Safety sits behind all of it: a fire safety assistant comes to every fire show, and public and fire liability cover is held.
On the day
Fire acts want a minimum 4m x 3m performing area with 2 metres clear overhead and no curtains hanging into it, plus 15 minutes to set up. LED is more flexible on space and takes 10. Both need darkness to look right. Indoors, the space has to be well ventilated, with smoke alarms and sprinklers off for the performance and any fans or air conditioning pointed away. Outdoors, wind and wet weather are the enemy. A backstage area is needed to store props before and after.
