About
The Fabulous Wonder Mama is a drag queen for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Wonder Mama sings live, hosts, and runs a drawing workshop, which is not a combination you find often. The Sydney drag act has played sold out shows at Claire's Cabaret in Darlinghurst and appeared at Sydney Fringe Festival, and works across drag trivia and bingo nights, hens parties and paint and sip sessions. The music leans retro disco and pop, the sort of thing that gets a seated room moving before anyone decides to stand up. Camp, warm and broad enough for a mixed crowd. A sound system can be provided depending on the event, though bigger jobs may need a cordless mic on site. Insured.
Watch
The show
Wonder Mama arrives on time, and often ahead of it. From there the brief is straightforward: keep the room laughing and keep it enjoying itself, start to finish.
On the day
A sound system can come along, though whether it does depends on the shape of your event. For the bigger or more involved bookings, you may be asked to have a cordless microphone and sound on site instead. Worth flagging the venue setup when you enquire so this gets settled early.
What they perform
A variety of retro disco and pop tunes that will having you chair dancing or up on your feet!
