About
Tony Miller is a DJ for hire in Sunshine Coast, QLD.
House and techno from the Sunshine Coast, with roots in Ibiza and a taste shaped by Stromae, Daft Punk and Nina Kraviz. Tony Miller builds sets around emotion as much as tempo, which is a slightly unusual thing for a club DJ to say and it shows in how the sets move. He's grown up around a wide mix of music and pulls from all of it. Club nights, dance parties and any event that wants a proper dance floor rather than background playlists. Tell him what decks are in the booth, or whether he should bring his own.
The show
Techno and house from a DJ who thinks about how a set makes people feel, not just how hard it hits. Tony's sound comes out of Ibiza and draws on Stromae's storytelling, the energy in Daft Punk and Nina Kraviz's beats. He grew up around a lot of different cultures and a lot of different music, and the sets carry all of it. What he's after is the crowd that wants to let go and properly ride the music, not stand at the edge of it.
On the day
The one thing Tony needs to know is what decks are already sitting in the booth, so he can turn up ready to mix on them rather than working it out on the night. If your venue has nothing, or you would simply rather he handled that side of it, he brings his own equipment along instead. Either way, sort it out at the enquiry stage.
