Pete's Party Hits is a DJ for hire in Boondall, QLD.
Pete has been DJing since his Gold Coast nightclub days, 45 years of reading rooms, and now runs mobile gigs out of Boondall in Brisbane. Old-school party hits are the specialty, but requests from any era get played on the night. The rig handles up to 400 people. Radio mics are there when someone needs to make a speech, and he'll MC the whole night if you'd rather not. Photo booth and karaoke are add-ons, and the booth comes with its own operator for the whole event. He'll deal with your venue directly, and needs about 90 minutes to bump in. It's a small family-run Brisbane business, from 16ths through to 80ths and weddings.
The show
Everything from the sixties onwards, and Pete's happy to take requests through the night or work off a playlist you've set beforehand. Whichever you prefer. He's done 16ths right through to 80ths and full wedding MC duties, and the music gets pitched at whoever's actually in the room. There's a photo booth option that comes with its own operator for the whole event, so nobody in your party ends up running it. Karaoke on a large screen can be added too.
On the day
Bump-in takes about 90 minutes before the start time to get all the gear in and set. If you're at a venue, Pete will contact them directly and sort access between the two of them so you're not stuck relaying messages. At a private house he'll deal with you instead. One other thing: a stable wifi or phone connection at the location is needed.
Performance options
The DJ booking comes with a full sound and lighting package. Beyond that there's the photo booth with its dedicated operator, and karaoke, and each can be combined with the DJ or taken together as the lot. The wedding option adds full use of radio mics for speeches and can include the MC service. Any of them can run longer than the standard block if your night needs it.
