About
Gus is a DJ for hire in Gold Coast, QLD.
Gustavo Cominese moves between two modes. His DJ sets lean into jazz house, organic house and lounge, with live percussion woven through instrumental beats. His acoustic sets go somewhere warmer, drawing on Bob Marley, Jack Johnson and Ben Harper alongside reggae and surf music. He also plays with The Dime Ends, a rock, soul, funk and surf band. Based on the Gold Coast. He brings a DJ controller and PA, and sets run a minimum of two hours.
Watch
The show
Two different nights, depending which one you book. As a DJ, Gustavo works through jazz house, organic house and lounge, threading live percussion through the instrumental beats rather than just letting the tracks run. The acoustic set is warmer and slower, built on Bob Marley, Jack Johnson and Ben Harper along with reggae and surf music. He plays with The Dime Ends too, a rock, soul, funk and surf outfit, so the range isn't a claim, it's a diary.
Performance options
Sets run two hours as a minimum, which is long enough for a DJ night to properly build. He brings his own controller and PA, so the venue doesn't need to supply anything beyond somewhere to plug in.
