About
Cliffhangers Entertainment is a DJ for hire in Gold Coast, QLD.
Cliff has been running DJ and jukebox hire on the Gold Coast since 1984, which makes this one of the longest running services in Queensland. He was the DJ at The Playroom, and he's been the official DJ for the Gold Coast Marathon for the past 19 years. The work spans corporate functions, weddings, clubs and private parties. Sound and lighting come as part of it, and wedding bookings can add an MC, low lying cloud effect for the first dance, uplighting or a photo booth. Set up takes about 45 minutes and isn't charged for. Public liability and PPCA requirements are covered. That's a long time behind the decks, and it shows in how little fuss a night takes.
The show
A DJ who has been doing this since 1984 and long since stopped needing to make a fuss about it. Cliff reads a room, plays what works and keeps the night moving, and the years behind the decks show up mostly in how little goes wrong. Corporate functions, weddings, clubs, private parties: the approach is the same. Sound and lighting come as part of the booking.
On the day
Around 45 minutes to set up, and that time isn't charged to you. So when you're planning the run sheet, just make sure the room is available three quarters of an hour before the first song, and the rest sorts itself out.
Performance options
There are a few wedding packages to pick from. The base one is the DJ set, and you can add MC duties on top so one person runs the announcements as well as the music. The low lying cloud effect makes the first dance look like it's happening above the floor. Uplighting changes the colour of the room, and there's a photo booth option too. Mix and match to suit the night.
