About
Tarpuy Australia is a dancer for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Peruvian folk dance, performed by a Brisbane group who keep the tradition going properly. Tarpuy Australia dance in full traditional costume, with choreography drawn from the festival dances of Peru, and they've represented Peru at the National Multicultural Festival in Canberra. It's a big, colourful set piece rather than background entertainment, and it suits a wedding or a community event that wants a real cultural moment in the programme. Guests who know the dances recognise them straight away. Everyone else just sees the costumes come out and the room turn to watch.
