Mara Maraschino

Mara Maraschino was awarded Mx Burlesque Brisbane in 2022 and is a fixture of Meanjin's burlesque and drag scenes. The act runs on chaotic pop culture references delivered in a way that is thoroughly disreputable and completely addictive. She has performed all over Australia and internationally. Alongside the striptease she MCs, co-produces and teaches burlesque, and she is loudly committed to lifting up emerging performers, which is worth as much to a scene as the shows themselves.
