About
Hypnotica is a dancer for hire in Townsville City, QLD.
HYPNOTICA works the pole, but the act runs wider than that. Fire, silk fans, Lyra and embodied flow all come into it, and the pieces are built around slow, fluid movement rather than tricks for their own sake. Sets last five to ten minutes and can be repeated across a few hours, which suits roving through a long event better than one big spot. Setup and pack down take about fifteen minutes. Indoors or out is fine, subject to weather and ceiling height. Based in Townsville. Public liability insurance.
The show
Pole is the specialty, but the act reaches further than that. Depending on the venue and what you're after, the set can bring in Lyra, silk fans, embodied flow and fire. Sets run five to ten minutes each, and rather than one long spot they can be repeated across several hours. That works better for a long event, because the show keeps reappearing instead of being over by nine.
On the day
About fifteen minutes to get the pole up, and the same again to pack it down. Indoor or outdoor both work, provided the weather behaves and there's enough height overhead. Worth measuring your ceiling before you get in touch.
Performance options
Bookings are counted in hour long blocks, with three separate sets falling inside each one. That shape is worth knowing before you build a run sheet, because it spreads the performance through the evening instead of putting everything into a single spot. The arrangement is not rigid either. If your event wants the sets clustered differently, or wants more of them across a longer night, say so at the enquiry stage and it can be worked out.
