About
The T.P.B Band is a cover band for hire in Eltham, VIC.
Melbourne, three players, and a fair bit of history between them. Peter Cook is on lead guitar and vocals, having previously played with James Freud & The Radio Stars and Crakajak. Tony Allen sings lead and plays bass, formerly of the Tony Catz Band and Wild Catz. Brett Goodman, once of the Speedsters, drums and sings. The set runs through Modern Girl, I Wanna Be Your Baby, Come Together, Eagle Rock, Run To Paradise, Sweet Home Alabama, Copperhead Road and plenty more in that vein. Sound system and lighting come with them, and they hold general and products liability cover. Expect dancing.
Watch
The show
A night built for dancing, with a broad spread of songs chosen to keep people up rather than sitting down. The three of them arrive with the sound system and the lighting already sorted, so the room gets a proper stage look without you renting anything in. It is loose, loud and good natured, and the song choices lean on tunes a crowd recognises within the first bar. If you want a floor that fills early and stays busy, that is the sort of evening this is.
