About
The RockDoctors is a cover band for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Eighteen years in, The RockDoctors are a five piece Melbourne covers act built out of players with 25 years or more of professional stage time each. Some have toured with well-known Australian and overseas bands. The line-up can be fronted by a female or a male vocalist, which widens what they'll cover in a night. The set leans on the 80s, 90s and Top 40 with the edges roughened up: Flame Trees, Enter Sandman, Boys In Town, Better, April Sun In Cuba. They bring their own PA and production. If the room's smaller, they'll strip back to an acoustic duo or trio instead.
The show
Five players on stage, each of them with 25 years or more of professional experience behind them, and the band itself has been going for 18. Some have toured with well-known Australian and overseas acts. The front of the band can be a female or male vocalist, which changes what a night's repertoire can reach for. Expect driven, rocked-up sets rather than polite covers. They bring their own PA and production, and can put music on between sets if you want the room kept alive.
On the day
A Melbourne rock covers band, working through the 80s, 90s and Top 40 with the edges roughed up. PA and production are theirs, so the sound side is handled. They also push the gig through their own social channels in the lead-up, which is worth knowing if you're running a public event.
