About
The Distant South is a cover band for hire in St Kilda, VIC.
Alt country out of St Kilda. The Distant South write their own material and play it with strings and a solid rhythm section, drawing on country, blues, folk and western melodies. The songs lean on their lyrics, so this is a listening room act as much as a venue act, and the sound stays authentic to that tradition rather than chasing a chart. Originals, not covers.
