About
The Clever References is a cover band for hire in Brunswick, VIC.
The Clever References are an alt-rock band fronted by Ash on vocals and guitar and Sam on synth and vocals, filled out by Kath on keys, vocals and flute, Janset on bass and vocals, and Vidusha on drums and percussion. Tracks like Tell Ben Kate and CAN YOU HELP ME COPE AND SEETHE have brought them attention, and the sound blends witty lyricism with sharp riffs and an indie sensibility. Based in Brunswick. The live shows are where the energy is, and a five piece with flute and synth in the line-up sounds like nobody else on a bill.
