About
Spruiker is a cover band for hire in Templestowe, VIC.
Rock classics, upbeat 90s and 2000s rock, and a decent slab of pop-punk. That's SPRUIKER, four experienced players from Templestowe who all hold down day jobs and play gigs because they want to. The list runs Song 2, Teenage Dirtbag, All the Small Things, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Kick, Honky Tonk Women, This Is a Call, Alive, and All These Things That I've Done. They like an hour or two to set up properly and appreciate a real sound check. Working with Children Check in place. Pubs and parties are the natural home, and the whole approach is aimed at getting everyone in the room having a good time rather than showing off.
The show
Four experienced players, upbeat material, and an approach aimed squarely at getting the whole room enjoying itself rather than watching the band. SPRUIKER engage with the crowd in front of them and keep the energy up across the night. It is the difference between a band performing at a party and a band that is part of one, and it comes from years of gigs behind them.
On the day
SPRUIKER like an hour or two on site before the event starts, and a proper sound check makes a real difference to how the first set lands. Worth blocking that time out when you put the running order together.
