About
Something Blue is a cover band for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
A high quality band changes a function, and this Melbourne outfit is built on that belief. The line-up is young, funky and gigging constantly across live shows and festivals, which is why the performance at a wedding or a corporate night feels like an actual gig rather than a run-through. The repertoire pulls soul, R&B, funk, classic rock and roll and modern material together, aimed at getting every age group onto the floor and keeping them there. This is an award winning function band. They're fully insured.
Watch
The show
A younger line-up of Melbourne players who gig constantly outside function work, and that shows up in the performance. Nothing about it feels rehearsed for the occasion. Rhythm and blues, soul and early rock and roll make up most of the night, chosen because those songs reliably pull people of every age off their chairs. Each booking gets shaped around the couple or the room it's for, so the energy at a wedding reception lands differently to a corporate night, and both are deliberate.
