About
Shezwan SOS is a cover band for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Three pieces, and a DJ rig in the boot. Shezwan SOS Band and DJ work out of Melbourne across weddings, functions and events, playing pop, rock, 80s, 90s and dance. Karaoke is on the menu too. The music leans towards dancing and singing along rather than sitting politely in the background, and the DJ sets bring in electronic and Bollywood alongside the pop. Band or DJ, or both. Just say which one you're after when you enquire. They'll need a decent stage allocation and power points that have been tested and tagged.
The show
This is a dancing and singing along sort of night, not a background music one. Shezwan SOS Band and DJ play to get people up, and the material is chosen with that in mind rather than to fill a room with pleasant noise. If your guests are the type who need a push before anyone commits to the floor, that's the job this act is built for.
On the day
You'll want to set aside a decent stage area for them, so factor that in when you're working out the floor plan. The other thing is power. The points they plug into need to have been tested and tagged, which most function venues have covered already, though it's worth checking with yours rather than assuming.
Performance options
Two options here, and you pick. The band, or the DJ. Both come out of the same booking, so if you already know which one your night calls for, say so when you enquire and they'll sort it from there.
Song list
