About
Rock Republic is a cover band for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Rock hits for the people, which is Rock Republic's own line and a fair summary. This Melbourne band plays material aimed squarely at getting a room upright and singing from the opening song to the encore. Jimmy Barnes, Pink, Baby Animals, ABBA, Cold Chisel, Melissa Etheridge, AC/DC, Dragon, Divinyls and Killing Heidi all get a run. They've worked pubs, weddings and corporate rooms, so they read a crowd rather than plough through a fixed list. Bring a PA or use theirs, whichever suits the venue.

The show
The material is picked for singalongs rather than for showing off. Rock Republic pull from Jimmy Barnes and Pink, from Baby Animals, ABBA and Cold Chisel, from Melissa Etheridge, AC/DC and Dragon, and from Divinyls and Killing Heidi, with plenty more besides. Expect the room on its feet early and still there at the encore. They have worked pub stages, wedding receptions and corporate rooms, which is a wide enough spread that very little on the night is new to them.
On the day
Sound is flexible. Rock Republic can bring a PA of their own, or plug into the venue's in house system where that system is up to the job. Worth telling them which you have when you enquire, so the right amount of gear turns up.
