Expect banter from the stage, because the band enjoys it, and expect them to hand an instrument over if you've got a guest who plays. Ballads are not really the point. The show

Between songs there's talk, because the band likes talking, and a guest or two usually ends up in their sights. If someone at your event plays drums or bass or guitar, say so, they'll hand over an instrument and let them have a go. Ballads aren't really their thing. They come to rock, and they do it loud.
On the day
Give them an hour on site before the first song. That covers gear in, gear up and a proper sound check in most of the shapes they play. Clean mains power is the assumption. If your event is running off a generator instead, tell them well ahead of the date, not on the morning, because that changes how they set up.
