Max Zero is a cover band for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Six people, two lead singers, and a setlist built almost entirely out of songs your guests already know the words to. Max Zero play classic rock and 80s party covers around Melbourne, with Steve Pisani and Kate Nielsen out front, Michael Santagati on lead guitar, Dave Burlew on rhythm and lead plus backing vocals, Jack Macauley on drums and Trent Conway on bass. Think Eagle Rock, Bow River, April Sun in Cuba, Brown Eyed Girl, Fortunate Son, Ballroom Blitz and Are You Gonna Be My Girl. Crowd participation isn't a bonus here, it's the point. They bring their own PA to keep the day simple, and they'll always take a sound check if you can spare the time.

The show
Classic rock, played loud, with the crowd doing at least some of the singing. Max Zero aren't a band you hire to sit politely behind the canapes. Six players, two lead vocalists out front, and a set built out of songs your guests already know the words to. The point of the night is a full dance floor, and they'll work at it.
On the day
The band brings its own PA, which takes one job off your list entirely. What they'd like from you is time for a sound check before doors, and they'll take it whenever you can spare it. A room sounds different empty to how it sounds with two hundred people in it, and that half hour beforehand is what stops the first set being the one they use to work it out.
